MAKE A VOLCANO IN YOUR SINK

That’s right, mix baking soda and vinegar just like you used to as a kid. Making a mini volcano in your sink drain can help remove buildup in your pipes in as little as one hour.

HOW?

When you mix 1/3 cup of baking soda with 1/3 cup of vinegar, the reaction can help remove buildup in your pipes. Make sure you pour the mixture down the drain quickly before the reaction occurs. Otherwise, pour the baking soda in first, then add the vinegar.

After pouring in the mixture, cover the drain of your sink for at least 1 hour (or overnight) to let the volcano work in the drain instead of all over your bathroom or kitchen. Flush the drain with hot water for a few minutes to clear the pipes.

BOILING WATER FIX

If making a volcano in your bathroom doesn’t sound like a good idea to you, consider using plain boiling water instead. Boiling water is the easiest and fastest method for clearing a clogged drain, but it also isn’t always the most effective.

HOW?

Seriously, just boil some water in a kettle, on the stove, or in the microwave. Then slowly pour the water down the clogged drain. Be very careful not to splash any water.

FOLLOW 3-3-3

Pour the water for 3 seconds, then wait for 3 seconds, then pour again. Repeat this process 3 times. Then test to see if the drain is still clogged. You may need to boil some more water and go another round.
