A MODERN SOLUTION THAT PROVIDES INSTANT, ON-DEMAND HOT WATER!

Since the dawn of civilization, control over water and heating requirements has been the hallmark of a cultured society. That is as much the case now as it was in Roman times but, with soaring energy costs, how can we provide hot water on demand in our homes without breaking the bank?

RINNAI TANKLESS WATER HEATERS – HOW DO THEY WORK?

Rinnai tankless water heaters do not waste energy by constantly maintaining the required temperature in a large storage tank, but instead, water is heated instantaneously, on demand, reducing your energy consumption significantly. If the hot water tap is turned on, cold water flows through the pipes and into the machine where gas or electric elements heat the water, resulting in a constant supply of hot water at a fraction of the price. No more waiting for the tank fill and heat!

FINDING THE RIGHT SOLUTION FOR YOUR NEEDS

Typically, our water heaters provide hot water at a rate of 2-5 gallons (7.6 to 15.2 liters) per minute. Gas water heaters produce higher flow rates than electric. For some applications, such as a large household with multiple, simultaneous hot water needs, an extra unit may be required. For example, if the shower and dishwasher are running at the same time, a single tankless water heater can be stretched to its limits. To solve this problem you can install two or more tankless water heaters, connected in parallel, to cope with simultaneous demands of hot water. You can also install single, designated units for high-draw appliances – such as washing machines, showers or dishwashers – that use a lot of hot water in your home.

ADVANTAGES OF AN ON-DEMAND HOT WATER SYSTEM

For homes that use 41 gallons or less daily, tankless water heaters consume 24% – 34% less power than conventional heaters tanks. For homes that use more than 41 gallons per day, energy consumption is reduced by 14% – 24%. Though greater efficiency can be achieved by installing an on-demand heater at each point of access – resulting in energy savings of 27% – 50%.

The initial cost of a tankless water heater is more than that of a traditional water storage heater or boiler, but this is offset by lower maintenance and energy costs. On-demand water heaters have a life expectancy of more than 20 years and their components are easily and cheaply replaced. Regular maintenance of your water heater can greatly extend its life and minimize any loss of efficiency. In contrast, standard heaters last only 10-15 years and the entire system must be replaced after that time
